Chicago is nicknamed “The Windy City,” which certainly comes from its vast history of loud, boisterous, and hot-headed men. Women, however, share an equal role in the city’s history, and were often just as vocal as their male counterparts.
Chicago tends to overlook their notable women, and often remembers them ineffectually. It is our intention to enhance the public’s memory of Chicago women rhetors and memorialize their legacies in one of the greatest cities in the world.
